Everything was first rate, from the lodging, to the food and equipment. Troy Laird was absolutely fantastic with my son Jacob. Jake felt comfortable with him, learned from him and enjoyed his company. I was worried that he might be treated differently as a kid, but he told me that this hunt was the most fun he had ever had. Seeing Troy jumping around and high-fiving with Jake on the prairie after he shot his goat was worth it. I truly believe that Troy was as happy for Jake as I was. It means a lot as a parent to see your kids happy like that and I want to thank you all for a great father-son experience. We are both ready to come back again and I can guarantee I will bring my younger son out for his first western big game hunt.

REF antelope - While hunting with Tyler Sims Outfitting I had a chance to look over huntreds of antelope per day! My guide was able to put me within a reasonable rifle shot of one of the finestest trophies of my life. My prairie dog hunt with Tyler Sims Outfitting was a great warm-up for the fall antelope hunt. At Tyler's suggestion I also brought my antelope rifle on the prairie dog hunt. I fired a box of .260 REM cartridges per day at prairie dogs,....but I only needed one cartridge for my trophy antelope - thenaks for a great idea, Tyler!

General - I was looking for a good hunt but ended up making good friends in the bargain! Tyler Sims and his staff are great young Americans and give an old Army Colonel hope for the future of this nation. McFadden, WY, is a 1700 mile drive from my home....the hunting and friendship make a long drive worth while.
